Planting advice and care for hyacinth bulbs:

Plant the flower bulbs in loose soil 15 cm deep and approximately 5 cm apart for a beautiful sea of ​​flowers in the spring. You can plant the flower bulbs from September to December before the frost period with the points upwards. Hyacinths can be planted anywhere in the sun / partial shade or shade with a trowel or a special bulb planter. You should only give the flower bulbs some water during extremely dry periods. Hyacinths are generally not perennial bulbs and are most beautiful in their first year. It is therefore best to remove the hyacinth bulbs after flowering and plant new ones in the autumn. Hyacinth bulbs need a cold period (winter) to be able to flower. In the open ground they are resistant to all weather conditions. In extreme frost, you should put the hyacinth bulbs, planted in pots, in a cold shed.

The hyacinth as a cut flower:

Hyacinths are very suitable as cut flowers. It is best to cut the stems in the morning and place them in a vase with lukewarm water and cut flower food. The fresh flowers will last a long time in your vase. This way you can compose your own bouquets. Because we only supply large hyacinth bulbs, you will also get the largest flowers.
