Planting advice and care for tulip bulbs:

Plant the flower bulbs in loose soil 10 cm deep and approximately 5 cm apart for a beautiful sea of ​​flowers in the spring. You can plant the flower bulbs from September to December before the frost period with the points upwards. Tulips are best planted in a sunny or semi-shaded spot with a trowel or a special bulb planter. You should only give the flower bulbs some water during extremely dry periods. Tulips are generally not perennial bulbs and are most beautiful in their first year. It is therefore best to remove the tulip bulbs after flowering and plant new ones in the autumn. Tulip bulbs need a cold period (winter) to be able to flower. In the open ground they are resistant to all weather conditions. In the event of extreme frost, you should place the tulip bulbs planted in pots in a cold shed.

Tulips are very suitable as cut flowers. It is best to cut the stems in the morning and put them in a vase with lukewarm water and cut flower food.
