It is therefore best to remove the tulip bulbs after flowering and plant new weather in the autumn. Tulip bulbs need a cold period (winter) to bloom. In the open ground they are resistant to all weather conditions. With extreme frost you must put the tulip bulbs planted in pots in a cold barn.
