Tulip Atelier Amsterdam: Tulip Store's pop-up
Tulip Store has been working with flower bulbs from its own bulb barn for years. This winter we're bringing our tulips to the city: in November and December 2026, you're welcome at Tulip Atelier Amsterdam on the Leliegracht. A small, atmospheric shop where you can see, feel and choose the bulbs yourself.
Why buy your tulip bulbs at Tulip Atelier Amsterdam?

It's planting season now
Tulip bulbs are planted in autumn, from October through December, as long as the ground isn't frozen. Plant now and you'll be enjoying your first tulips in April and May. That makes November and December the perfect time to buy your bulbs.
Certified tulip bulbs for the USA, Canada and the UK
From Saturday 7 November, Tulip Atelier Amsterdam also sells certified tulip bulbs for visitors from outside the EU. These bulbs have been officially inspected and come with a phytosanitary certificate, so you can take them home to countries such as the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
- Keep the bulbs in their original, sealed packaging with the certificate.
- Declare the bulbs at customs when you arrive.
- Travelling to another country outside the EU? Ask us in the shop what applies to your country.

When should I plant tulip bulbs? In autumn, from October through December, as long as the ground isn't frozen. Plant them about twice as deep as the bulb is tall.
Can I take tulip bulbs home abroad? Yes. Within the EU this is usually possible without a certificate. From 7 November we also sell certified bulbs with a phytosanitary certificate for the USA, Canada, the UK and more. Keep them in the sealed packaging and declare them at customs.
How do I store the bulbs until planting? Somewhere cool, dry and well-ventilated, for example in a paper bag in a shed. Do plant them in the same season.
